Tony sits reading in the sunshine outside his roundhouse, built from cordwood, earth, cob, straw and recycled windows in southwest Wales. The structure was constructed entirely by hand as a low impact natural dwelling based on American Indian designs that Tony had seen in history books. The resulting habitation is integrated into the landscape making it possible to live as close to the land as possible.
The roundhouse is supplied with electricity by three photovoltaic panels on the roof and a small wind turbine situated close by. The turf covering makes the building almost invisible from the rear and in the centre an old bus windscreen provides natural light during the day.
